see also do summat current events page here we decided, through consensus, that we would have monthey 'get clued up events' which would act as an information point around issues that we feel are important and affect us. these information events will be followed by a variety of actions and events whereby those attending can get involved in taking action on the issues we looked at. we shall organise 2 actions for the month, but have a meeting the saturday after the info night whereby those people who are not currently involved with saturday club, but get inspired by the event, can come and make suggestions for action to take for the rest of the month. we were worried that it would appear that we were constantly leaving action on issues, yet we plan to involve as many groups in manchester (and further afield) as possible in our actions and events so that people who are inspired by taking action on these issues can continue doing that with existing groups that are tackling those issues. for example we have decided that the first issue will be 'migration' and so we hope to involve groups such as No Borders, and Refugee Action, and so people that wish to continue may join these groups and so so, whilst saturday club moves on to a different topic the following month, yet we also to keep the links with groups we work with. if you want to get involved with organising these events and actions please get in touch.
